Shawn C. Sorenson O.D.
Dr. Sorenson helped establish Eagle VISION One in 2001 and is a founding co-owner.
He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Biology and a minor in chemistry. He then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated in the top of his class with Summa Cum Laude Honors. He received many honors and scholarships during his training. Dr. Sorenson is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians.
He specializes in Dry Eye Syndrome, and content lens fitting for both rigid gas permeable and soft contact lenses. He also performs pre/postoperative Refractive surgery care for LASIK, Cataracts, and implantable contact lenses. He enjoys ocular disease management as well as caring for all age groups.
Dr. Sorenson is a recent Past President of the Idaho Optometric Physicians. This duty requires him to travel throughout the state and country as he advocates for all patients and Doctors of Optometry.
Dr. Sorenson has four children and actively serves with youth church groups. Dr. Sorenson speaks fluent Spanish from when he lived for two years in Guatemala. He loves the outdoors, playing with his children, playing basketball, racquetball, skiing, and golf. His wife is a former special education teacher at Eagle High School.
