Shawn C. Sorenson O.D.

Dr. Sorenson co-founded Eagle VISION One in 2001 and is a managing owner.

He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Biology and a minor in chemistry. He then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated in the top of his class with Summa Cum Laude Honors. He received many honors and scholarships during his training. Dr. Sorenson is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians.

He specializes in Dry Eye Syndrome, and content lens fitting for both rigid gas permeable and soft contact lenses. He also performs pre/postoperative Refractive surgery care for LASIKCataracts, and implantable contact lenses. He enjoys ocular disease management as well as caring for all age groups.

Dr. Sorenson is a Past President of the Idaho Optometric Physicians.  He was named the Idaho Optometrist of the Year in 2017 by the Idaho Optometric Physicians, and currently serves on the Idaho State Board of Optometry.

Dr. Sorenson has four children and actively serves with youth church groups. Dr. Sorenson speaks fluent Spanish from when he lived for two years in Guatemala. He loves the outdoors, playing with his children, playing basketball, racquetball, skiing, and golf. His wife is a former special education teacher at Eagle High School.
