Shawn C. Sorenson O.D.

Dr. Sorenson co-founded Eagle VISION One in 2001 and is a managing owner.

He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. He then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated in the top of his class with Summa Cum Laude honors. Dr. Sorenson is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians.

Dr. Sorenson specializes in dry eye syndrome and fittings for gas permeable and soft contact lenses. He also performs pre/postoperative refractive surgery care for LASIKcataracts, and implantable contact lenses.  He enjoys managing ocular disease and general optometry.

Dr. Sorenson is a former president of the Idaho Optometric Physicians.  He was named the Idaho Optometrist of the Year in 2017 by the Idaho Optometric Physicians, and currently serves on the Idaho State Board of Optometry. Dr. Sorenson has four children and actively serves with youth church groups. Dr. Sorenson speaks fluent Spanish after living in Guatemala for two years. He and his family have done eye service mission trips to Guatemala and Ghana.  He loves the outdoors, skiing, and spending time with his children and grandchild.  His wife is a former special education teacher at Eagle High School.
