Dr. Kauffman is originally from Redondo Beach, California, and was recruited to play soccer at Northwest Nazarene University. She competed all four years while earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Pre-Medicine emphasis. Her experience working as an optometric technician inspired her to pursue a career in optometry. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, graduating in 2026.
During her fourth-year clinical rotations, Dr. Kauffman received advanced training at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, and two private practice clinics. These diverse experiences provided extensive training in pediatric eye care, ocular disease management, and primary care optometry. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and has a special appreciation for working with toddlers and young children. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians Association.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kauffman enjoys staying active through running, hiking, yoga, and snowboarding. She also loves traveling to visit family and spending time with friends, especially at country music concerts.
