Joshua E. McAdams O.D.

Dr. McAdams joined Eagle VISION One as an associate Doctor of Optometry in 2018. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2006, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology, and won the NCAA championship in 3000m steeplechase.  He postponed optometry school for a year while he trained and competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in Track and Field.  He ran professionally for New Balance Shoes for 6 years as a distance runner making various USA World Teams and winning two U.S. championships and the Pan American Games gold medal during that time. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 2012. He joins us from the rural mountains of Northern Arizona where he was in an MD/OD private practice for the last 5 years.  There he managed a patient base of geriatrics, Indian Health Services, Veterans Affairs, as well as comprehensive exams of the general population. He specializes in Dry Eye Syndrome, ocular disease, soft and gas permeable contact lenses, Lasik/Cataract comanagement, and general optometry services for all ages.
